The Al Nokhba Scholarship program is intended to attract the UAE’s finest and brightest talent by targeting students with extraordinary intellectual distinction and potential. We are looking for young Emarati men and women who have the skill-set and sense of leadership that it takes to succeed in a career in the advanced technology sector. We will help such students study at tailor-made educational programs at top universities.

The Al Nokhba Scholarship is designed to:

• Support Abu Dhabi’s strategic investments in advanced technologies
• Provide UAE Nationals with access to world-class education
• Create a well-rounded education experience through mentoring, work placement, and a range of other extracurricular activities
• Maximize the participation and the potential of women in the technology industry

Al Nokhba has joined forces with several strong partners such as: Abu Dhabi Education Council, Advanced Technology Investment Company, MASDAR and several other industry players to provide tomorrow’s technology industry leaders with a top education and work prospects.

Winners of the Al Nokhba Scholarship will receive the support needed to successfully acquire the skills and tools in the engineering field to contribute to the future of semiconductors and other advanced technologies. The Al Nokhba Scholarship will present students with access to some of the most knowledgeable and dynamic academic, social and industry specific advisors and mentors in top institutes.

Applications

Candidate criteria required:

The Al Nokhba Scholarship for a Bachelor’s Degree is open to all students:

• In the final year of, or already holding a high school diploma with a minimum score of 85
• Already enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering at a reputable university (local or international) with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Master’s Degree in Engineering

The Al Nokhba Scholarship for a Master’s Degree is open to all students:

• In the final year of, or already holding a Bachelor’s Degree (local or international) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Already enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Engineering (local or international)

Terms & Conditions

• Upon being awarded an Al Nokhba Scholarship, the selected student will receive a guarantee of employment with GLOBLAFOUNDRIES or another entity nominated by ATIC. This is conditional on successful completion of the sponsored degree, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
